We back a small number of founders each year with our own capital, and we stay involved for the long run. The aim is simple: be the first cheque when something looks too early, and a steady hand once it works.
We like to be early enough that the idea still sounds improbable. Conviction beats consensus, and the companies that matter most tend to look obvious only in hindsight.
We read the architecture, not just the deck. Most of what we back is genuinely hard to build — usually that's the point.
One cheque, many years. We try to be useful between the milestones, not only when they're hit — intros, hiring, the awkward 2 a.m. questions.
